Bob Green will be responsible for developing sales of ALMSCO’s mass spectrometer (MS) – the BenchTOF-dx – and associated TargetView software, for specific applications in the UK and to key markets in north-western Europe including France, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands.
After a long and successful career in the UK with Anatune, where he held senior management positions in sales and service before becoming technical director, Green joins ALMSCO from gas chromatography (GC) instrument manufacturer Ellutia, where he was the UK sales manager. Green brings to ALMSCO a wealth of technical and commercial experience of the GC-MS business.
Commenting on his appointment, Liz Woolfenden, director of ALMSCO, said: “Bob has a proven track record of developing innovative technical solutions tailored to user requirements and brings a real commitment to nurturing mutually beneficial relationships with customers. These talents are extremely important within ALMSCO and across Markes International.”
“As we continue to expand our client base across Europe, Bob will prove to be the perfect asset to a team that is focused on identifying new opportunities, delivering excellence for customers, and on providing customer service of the highest order,” she added.
Since being introduced to the market in 2008, the BenchTOF-dx has gone from strength to strength and is now being used to advance applications in a range of sectors including environmental contamination, oil exploration, food safety, odour/fragrance, metabolomics, homeland security and toxicology.
ALMSCO International is a division of Markes International, which is the world’s leading supplier of analytical thermal desorption equipment for trace organic analysis.
