Leading outsource sales agency CPM has invested in two strategic appointments to bolster the company’s retail capability.
Karen McGinn has been appointed to the new role of Director of Retail Development having previously headed-up the new business team at CPM. Karen has extensive retail experience, having previously held senior positions at both The Co-op and, most recently, Asda, as well as a range of roles driving retail sales for some of the UK’s leading brands through grocery, high street and specialist retail channels.
CPM Managing Director Karen Jackson, said: “The retail landscape is changing at pace and Karen’s appointment to this role is a reflection of CPM’s desire to provide global retail insights to our clients and provide focus on developing our strategic approach to retail and the products and services that CPM will provide to maximise sales for clients in retail today and more importantly in the future.”
McGinn added: “I’m delighted to have been given this fantastic opportunity to focus all my energy on the retail sector, especially being able to integrate technology, training and research to identify the best sales opportunities for brands, and influence buying decisions at the optimum time and place.”
A second appointment is Kate Ryan who has joined the company as Business Unit Director for CPM’s Tactical Division. With over 20 years’ sales experience, she most recently headed up the in-house Field Sales team at Britvic Ireland. Prior to that, she led the sales functions at both First Active Ireland and Eircomm. For CPM she will be leading teams to deliver the full gamut of short or long term flexible field marketing solutions - including Syndicated, and Mystery Shopping.
Ryan said: “I was a client of CPM’s for ten years and I’ve joined the company having witnessed first-hand its total commitment to getting the best people to do the best jobs. From new product development to product recall, the company has a proven track record in training hand-picked people in a time-effective manner to drive sales and deliver maximum return on investment.”
Jackson added: “The addition of these two key players will further strengthen our leadership team and our outsourced sales proposition. Our focus on the latest retail innovations, trends and insights will ensure we continue to provide world class sales solutions for our clients - and supports our vision of being famous for Sales.”
