Grass Roots Meetings & Events has announced that James Thompson has joined the company as account director.
Thompson, who previously worked at W&O Events and Ashfield Meetings & Events (as Universal World Events) in The USA and Asia, will be responsible for some of Grass Roots’ key accounts, which currently benefit from the firm’s specialisms in strategic meetings management, event production, delegate management and the provision of integrated solutions around the world.
He brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and a broad skill set developed while working for multi-service agencies with large client organisations on a global scale.
His is the latest appointment that comes on the back of a number of recent business wins in the financial, automotive and IT sectors as the firm continues with its strategy to bring greater focus on key accounts.
Thompson said he was attracted by Grass Roots’ scale, industry reputation and the chance to make a real contribution to the new strategy.
