Phil M Jones, a young West Midlands-based entrepreneur, with a “mission to teach the world to sell” has picked up a prestigious national accolade at the British Excellence in Sales and Marketing Awards (BESMA).
Held in London at the Lancaster Hotel, Jones was awarded the Sales Trainer of the Year award for “pushing the boundaries in his profession” and helping businesses from local tradespeople to multinationals to gain more customers and get more from the ones they already have.
His training programmes are now taught the world over, his books have reached best-seller status and he is fast becoming one of the most in demand conference speakers at business events across the globe.
Aged just 31 and the youngest ever winner of this coveted award, Jones was delighted with his achievement saying: "There's a lot of understandable negativity about the state of our economy but it is my quest to help people to change their fortunes by teaching the world to sell. This award is wonderful recognition and it’s a great start but there is plenty more work to do!”
The judging panel recognised Jones as “a very promising young talent and someone who is committing his life’s work to changing our nations view on salesmanship, putting the Great back into Britain.”
Other comments from the judging panel, which included Simon Blackburn, commercial director of Growth Engineering, noted: “Phil gets your back up whilst showing you his genius” and described him as an “extremely compelling sales trainer who had a very powerful delivery style.”
To celebrate his success at the awards, Jones has made his book Magic Words available free for anyone that wishes to download it from his website at www.philmjones.com
