For the first time ever the award will be judged live at the event, held at London’s Grosvenor House on 6 November. Each of the finalists will be given two minutes to prove their superior selling skills, by delivering their most impressive sales pitch.
The former England rugby Captain, now Sales Director at Serco, Lawrence Dallaglio and previous Apprentice winner Lee McQueen will sit on a panel of experts to judge the pitches, along with the audience of over 100 sales professionals who will also vote for their favourites.
Lawrence Dallaglio, Sales Director for contact centre services in Serco’s new UK & Europe Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) business said: “I’ll be looking for someone who has all the attributes a talented salesperson should have like charisma, excellent communication skills and an in depth knowledge of what they’re selling. Most importantly the winning candidate will have to deliver a spectacular pitch – something that’s exceptional enough to win over the crowd and the judges in just two minutes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to gain recognition for being the best field sales executive around.”
“This is the ultimate test of people’s selling skills, delivering a pitch to over a thousand people really proves you’re the best of the best. I’m expecting a high standard of entries and some very entertaining pitches,” added Lee McQueen.
