The nomination period for the 2016 Women In Sales Awards have closed having once again attracted the best saleswomen in the country ready to fight it out for a spot on the list of finalists.
Now in its 4th year the event has built a reputation for attracting the best of the best when it comes to representing women in the typically male dominated sales profession. With hundreds of potential winners all having their names thrown into the hat by their nominating business, each year the competition grows stronger.
The final awards ceremony is set to take place at The Lancaster, London on the 8th December, where the finalists will discover whether or not they have been successful in this year’s event. Purely being nominated for these awards is a deserving recognition in itself, highlighting the standout women in the industry.
Without a sales function the majority of industries simply wouldn’t exist, celebrating the success of these standout saleswomen in all of the organisations that have submitted nominations. Not only does this event celebrate the individuals, but also the businesses championing them – positioning these saleswomen as role models for the rest of their teams.
Judging to decide who will be named as finalists has now begun with the final list expected to be announced in late October, following this process finalists will undertake a judging interview where they can state their case on why they are the most deserving winner.
With 16 categories available most industries are covered, including: Finance, Consumer, Software and Technology among them. In addition to the industry specific awards the biggest prizes are arguable those that simply recognise the 'Best Woman Sales Director' and the 'Best Woman Sales Manager' across all industries. While the awards focus on celebrating the women in Sales, there is also an award dedicated to the 'Best Male Sales Mentor'.
For anyone who wasn’t involved in this year’s awards, tables can still be booked for the finals night taking place in December, the ceremony provides a great chance to not only celebrate successes but also meet other professionals and businesses from around the country and Europe.
