Clarify, a specialist in strategic Business Development, has today announced its Directors have become fellows of the Association of Professional Sales (APS). The APS (formally the Sales Leadership Alliance), is spearheading the promotion of excellence and best practice within the sales industry, in a bid to enhance its professional standing and gain accredited Chartered status for the sales profession.
“The world of sales is changing, especially B2B sales,” commented Lee Edney, Director at Clarify.
“Complex, high value propositions increasingly require a strong professional sales skill set and high levels of business and commercial acumen. Clarify has always recognised the need to develop and train staff in the art of professional selling to support their job of building sales pipeline specifically for more complex deal types. The APS strongly supports this notion of building sales talent for the future which aligns well with Clarify’s vision.” Edney concluded.
In addition, Clarify welcomes the opportunity to work with the APS on one of their strategic aims of improving diversity in sales and to encourage more women into the profession. Clarify’s founder and CEO, Claire Edmunds, was recently recognised as Woman of the Year in an SME business for her pioneering specialism in this field.
Clarify works in collaboration with sales and marketing departments to leverage business development as a force for transformation and accelerated growth. It will work with the APS to promote the value of building specialist, high end Business Development teams as a separate function outside sales and marketing.
“The APS is gaining momentum and its members are striving towards a common goal that is to recognise sales as the chartered profession it should be,” said Andy Hough Chief Operating Officer at the Association of Professional Sales.
Hough continued, “We believe Clarify’s specialism in strategic business development adds weight to our organisation and we very much look forward to working with them in 2015.”
