Wakeling joins the cabling infrastructure, networking and security solutions distributor from NG Bailey IT Services, where he most recently held the position of sales manager for the structured cabling business within NG Bailey.
Commenting on the appointment Mark Simmons, sales director said: “We are delighted that Jeff is joining the team, we’ve spent a number of months, finding the right person to fit our business and we feel that Jeff ticks all of the boxes. With his proven track record of driving rapid sales growth across cabling projects of all types and sizes, the positioning of converged IP solution sales, and sales leadership skills he will complement the existing skills and strengths of our sales management teams. I have also been very impressed with Jeff’s enthusiasm, hunger and ambition which are key characteristics in such a strategic, role.”
Simmons added: “Our sales of infrastructure solutions – copper, fibre, test equipment and cabinets – are growing at a fantastic rate and we believe this appointment will help us to continue, if not accelerate this trend still further, and offer our customers a greater level of service and support.”

During his career Wakeling has worked in a variety of account management, business development, and sales management roles all focused around the structured cabling market, working for Trescray Network Communications, before joining NG Bailey some 8 years ago. He joined the Mayflex team on the 1 October.
