Old Mutual Global Investors has bolstered its UK sales team with the appointed of four senior members, reports FundWeb.
John Shepherd has been appointed as head of UK discretionary sales. Shepherd joins from UBS Asset Management where he was executive director and head of UK retail discretionary sales.
Nick Pearse joins from MAM Funds as discretionary sales manager south, while Brain Mclaughlin and Graeme Brown joins as adviser sales managers for the north and south respectively.
Mclaughlin joins from Prudential UK intermediaries where he was regional account manager, while Brown was previously business development manager at Momentum Global Investment Management.
Old Mutual Global Investors is the merged business of Old Mutual Asset Managers and Skandia Investment Group.
The advisory sales managers will report into Steven Brown, head of advisory distribution and the discretionary sales managers will report into Shepherd. Brown and Shepherd will both report into head of UK wholesale distribution Simon Smith
Smith says: “As we have previously stated, our intention is to expand our sales platform from which to target the UK wholesale market. The high calibre appointments that we are announcing today significantly enhance our sales and distribution capability and should be seen as a clear statement of our intent to reinforce and grow our market leading asset management business.”
