Communications group Elitetele.com has launched a specialist ‘bring your own device’ (BYOD) division which has been designed to help its customers implement BYOD in their own businesses.
It is estimated 89 per cent of UK IT departments are now BYOD enabled, and 9 out of 10 UK businesses plan to implement a BYOD policy within the next two years. Despite this many organisations are ill-equipped to manage the surge. According to a recent survey by Gartner, Inc. a quarter of BYOD business users admitted to having had a security issue with their private device in 2013, but only 27 percent of those respondents felt obliged to report this to their employer.
The new division will provide advice on establishing which employees will benefit from which devices, give support for building and managing a Mobile Device Management strategy, provide insight on security solutions for BYOD and tips on hosting and managing access to cloud based business applications, to maximise staff productivity. The company is also working with clients and staff to build a BYOD solution to take to market in the near future.
