The sales team at Virgin Media Business is being joined today by a new ‘Virtual Consultant’, designed to help the company present its products and services to customers in a fresh and interactive way.
Through the ‘Virtual Consultant’, developed in partnership with digital agency Volume, customers and prospects will be able to better understand what opportunities a new network can bring and which products are right for them.
The web-based app provides the sales and support teams with a more visual, interactive tool when speaking with potential customers, explaining the company’s different products and services using infographics, videos and animations.
The ‘Virtual Consultant’ is also designed to help new salespeople get up-to-speed on new products and services and provide a consistent experience for each customer.
It is made up of three distinct sections:
- Training mode – an educational section with an Avatar guide taking staff through learning and development content that explores unique selling points for products
- Presentation mode – a library of presentations on different subjects and products, which can serve as building blocks for salespeople to create tailored presentations for customers
- Customer leave-behind mode – the tailored presentation can be forwarded via email, which the customer can then revisit for up to 30 days after the initial conversation
The first product on the ‘Virtual Consultant’ is IPVPN. This will be followed in the Autumn by EthernetVPN and MIA (Managed Internet Access).
The ‘Virtual Consultant’ has been designed in HTML 5 and runs on a web browser so it’s easy for the 350 sales and support staff across the business to use on desktop computers, laptops and mobile devices.
